Bit Parts: Comedians Discuss Charles Yu’s Interior Chinatown

Thursday May 11th, 6:00 p.m. at the Chinatown Branch Library, 639 N. Hill St.

For this year’s Big Read programming series at the Los Angeles Public Library, join our panel of comedy writers and stand-up comics for a discussion of Charles Yu’s National Book Award-winning novel Interior Chinatown.  George Chen (Talkies, Sup Doc, Zumaudio), Kristina Wong (Guggenheim Fellow, Pulitzer Prize finalist), Andrew Ti (Yo, Is This Racist?, Robot Chicken) and Jenny Yang (Gordita Chronicles, City of Ghosts) will discuss humor as a way of engaging issues of race and identity, both in the book and in the literary and entertainment world in general.  This event is presented in collaboration between the Chinatown and Edendale Branch Libraries, made possible by the Friends of the Chinatown Library.
